01 · The story

Bringing the coast indoors

Built across three floors at Vipingo Ridge, this villa is designed to bring the character of the Kenyan coast inside. Every room is shaped around the family, from playful children's bedrooms to a bespoke home theatre, a personalised office and a dedicated prayer room, each with its own identity and all connected by one material palette.

02 · The inspiration

Earth, stone & timber

The landscape of Vipingo Ridge is the starting point. Darker timber brings warmth and contrast to a neutral base, with rich browns, sand-like tans, leather accents and curated artwork. The defining feature is a coral stone TV wall, cut from the stone of the site's own foundations, linking the architecture, the landscape and the interior.

03 · The outcome

The vision

In the visualisations, a double-height living room is anchored by the textured coral stone wall, with deep, low sofas and sculptural bronze tables. A floating staircase rises beside an olive tree set into a lit stone planter, and full-height glazing keeps the coast always in view. Modern, warm and timeless, it is a home that could only belong here.
