Villa Azul is a 906 m² new-build family home in Dallas, Texas, inspired by the ocean and its changing colours: expressive natural stone, backlit onyx and sculptural walnut, layered with vibrant blues and a hint of sunset orange. A project by ELE, one of the best interior design studios working internationally from Dubai.
Our clients are building a new family home in Dallas, with space for every part of their lives: a show kitchen and a separate scullery, a family room and formal dining, a private cinema, a pooja room, a suite for their mother, his and hers dressing rooms, and a garage designed to display a prized car.
The concept follows the ocean through the day. A neutral base is layered with vibrant blues, while orange accents in art and accessories recall a sunset on the horizon. Quad-matched Patagonia quartzite, backlit Evolene onyx, Calacatta Vagli and chocolate walnut bring depth, and curved woodwork and rhythmic walnut strips echo the movement of water.
In the visualisations, the foyer opens to a sculptural timber-panelled stair wall and a marble plinth, and the show kitchen centres on a curved island of veined stone. A timber-lined cinema corridor is lit like a gallery, and the bedrooms soften into linen and warm neutrals. Natural materials become art, in a home that feels serene and vibrant at once.
