Imtiaz Café is a café and club lounge high above Dubai, with floor-to-ceiling views of the skyline. Green marble, warm walnut, light oak and brushed brass set the tone for a place where residents can meet for coffee, play a game of pool or simply unwind. Designed by ELE, one of the best interior design studios in Dubai for hospitality.
Imtiaz Developments asked us to design a shared space for residents that works throughout the day: a café for morning coffee and light meals, a bar counter, a relaxed lounge, and a games area with a pool table and chess, all in one open room facing the city.
The material board pairs a deep green marble with walnut and light oak veneers, a grey-veined stone floor and brushed brass, including a perforated brass screen. Soft bouclé and textured fabrics, a dark leather armchair and sheer curtains add comfort and filter the light.
In the visualisations, a sculptural ring light wrapped in trailing greenery hangs over the café tables, with a green marble bar and softly lit shelving behind. Tall cylindrical brass display columns stand on green marble plinths, framing the lounge and its deep, channelled sofas, while a brass-trimmed pool table and full-height glazing make the most of the views across Dubai.
