At ELE, one of the best interior design studios in Dubai, we brought Mediterranean living to Porcelanosa's exhibition stand at Downtown Design 2026, during Dubai Design Week. Drawing on our founder's Spanish roots, we created a complete home for the brand's “Your Home Away From Home” concept, with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and courtyard connected by a warm, neutral palette, curved forms and complementary finishes.

01 · The story

A home away from home

Porcelanosa came to Downtown Design with a simple idea: its collections should feel like a home, not a showroom. The brief, “Your Home Away From Home”, asked for a complete residential setting where visitors could see the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and outdoor spaces work together. We looked to our founder's Spanish roots, and to a brand she has known since her first design studies in Valencia.

02 · The inspiration

Clay and the Mediterranean

The concept draws on Spanish home architecture, the surrounding landscape and Porcelanosa's heritage in ceramic production. Clay set the palette: earthy tones and a sense of warmth, carried through a warm neutral base, curved forms and complementary finishes. Dark veined stone, timber, a lattice screen and soft planting add depth, so the stand feels crafted and calm.

03 · The outcome

A natural route through

Visitors follow a natural route through the stand, from the kitchen and bathroom to the bedroom, and see how the collections work together as one home. At its heart, a courtyard with an olive tree invites a pause. Materials appear across floors, walls and residential details, and a dedicated display area lets guests explore new collections through colour, texture and touch.

“We chose ELE Interior Design because we share a connection to our Spanish roots. Leali knows our products, our philosophy and our brand very well. We wanted the space to feel warm, welcoming and comfortable, and felt she was the right person to understand that vision and bring it to life.”
Nuño Arcusa Gil, Middle East Regional Manager, Porcelanosa
