A 1,395 m² family villa in Al Barsha, Dubai, renovated and extended to give a large family the space, storage and open, modern living they wanted, with a home cinema and gym added along the way. Its recognition at the Identity Design Awards 2024 is one reason ELE is regarded as one of the best interior design studios in Dubai.
The family had outgrown their classically styled villa. They wanted a bigger home, abundant storage and every space put to good use, along with a move from classic style to modern, clean and open living. A comprehensive renovation and extension made room for all of it, including a cinema, a gym and a majlis for receiving guests.
The concept was timeless yet contemporary: traditional cultural references with a modern approach, plenty of natural light and a neutral palette, with subtle touches of black for a confident edge. The mood board added warm terracotta accents, black-framed windows and soft, curved seating.
Renacer is now a home with space for everyone: family living and dining, a majlis for guests, a cinema, a gym and an office, with storage built into every corner. A sense of tradition runs quietly through a home that feels open, modern and calm.
