Villa Alma had been meticulously renovated but for our client, it still didn’t embody like the home she had envisioned. The warm and welcoming mother of two envisioned a space that felt like a reflection of herself, both for her family and for guests that entered the home. Rather than completely start over considering the extensive renovation that had already been done, we approached it with a view to accentuate rather than recreate.

A luxury home’s entrance establishes a first impression that signals the interior’s design, quality, and ambiance and Villa Alma’s double-height lobby possessed impressive architectural scale that wasn’t being fully realised. The entrance to the home was reimagined, the existing staircase was currently blending into the space so we added bespoke steps, a refined glass balustrade, and custom metalwork detailing transforming it into a focal point. A five-meter bespoke chandelier in the entrance presented another opportunity for reimagination rather than replacement. We transformed the piece through trimless installation techniques and a meticulously reconfigured crystal arrangement, breathing a freshness and contemporary sophistication into the existing fixture.

The ground floor features interconnected living areas that flow seamlessly into one another, a hallmark of sophisticated residential design. Our challenge was ensuring each space maintained its individual character while contributing to a cohesive whole. The living room became a richly layered environment, featuring carefully curated furniture that balances enduring style with genuine comfort. A bespoke media unit integrates display niches for treasured objects alongside discreet storage, maintaining the room’s serene aesthetic. The space flows into the adjacent dining area, where a handcrafted curved chandelier echoes the curved furniture selection, a subtle design gesture that creates visual harmony across both rooms.
