Villa Velada is a complete luxury villa renovation in Mudon, Dubai, transforming a traditional compartmentalised home into a light-filled contemporary family residence. This 316 sqm project showcases how thoughtful space planning, premium materials, and bold design choices create homes that balance elevated aesthetics with livability.
A contemporary European aesthetic inspired deeply by Italian residential design. The focus centers on light-filled, open-plan living balanced by a warm, tactile material palette. This design prioritizes long-term durability over passing trends, perfectly blending elevated sophistication with everyday comfort.
Phase 1: Space Planning & Concept Development
The design journey began with a comprehensive space planning phase, recalibrating the existing villa layout to maximize openness and natural light flow. Custom layouts were meticulously developed for all 17 rooms, introducing walnut-toned slatted dividers and reimagined spatial zones that beautifully define the ground floor.
Phase 2: Design Development & Material Selection
To seamlessly communicate this warm, contemporary aesthetic, detailed 3D visualizations and mood boards were crafted. Material selections—including Arabescato marble, jade river stone, and Italian travertine—were finalized alongside curated furniture and lighting from world-class luxury brands like Giorgetti, Hermès, and Occhio.
Phase 3: Design Supervision & Execution
Throughout the construction and fit-out phases, rigorous design supervision ensured every detail was executed exactly to specification—from the custom marble inlay in the foyer to the integrated brass lighting. Continuous site visits and close contractor coordination successfully preserved design integrity across all 17 rooms.
Warm, inviting, and refined. Elevated yet genuinely livable. This is a contemporary home with a timeless quality—a space that effortlessly balances grand sophistication with everyday family comfort.
The primary challenge involved completely transforming a rigid, pre-existing structure without altering its structural footprint. Our team successfully achieved open fluid spaces and optimized light flow while navigating immovable structural walls and utility services. Ultimately, we translated the clients’ clear vision into a fully resolved, intentional environment while meticulously coordinating with premium suppliers and artisans to secure the required high-end finish.
